8 DAYS 7 NIGHTS TANZANIA

Day 1: Arusha

  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport where we’ll fast-track you through arrival procedures
  • VIP transfer to Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge
  • Shanga cultural experience optional depending on arrival time
    • Shanga is a heartwarming project dedicated to supporting and empowering community members with disabilities. It comprises of a bustling workshop that creates works of art often from recycled goods, and a trendy boutique.

Accommodation: Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge
On the edge of Arusha, in the foothills of Mount Meru, elegant Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge is the ideal place to shake off the stresses of travel and sink into holiday mode. Its handsome suites are scattered amid a working coffee plantation – a leafy sanctuary of serenity.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire

  • Breakfast at Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge before your SkySafari morning flight to Kuro Airstrip in Tarangire National Park
  • Full-day game drive through Tarangire National Park with private picnic lunch in the bush
    • Often overlooked for the north’s better-known parks, Tarangire bursts with great game – especially in the dry season, when animals flock to its perennial river – but sees few other tourists.
  • Late afternoon arrival to Elewana Tarangire Treetops in time for sundowners
  • A traditional Masai boma dinner at the camp

Accommodation: Elewana Tarangire Treetops
With its prime location in a private conservancy on the edge of Tarangire National Park, Elewana Tarangire Treetops offers the best of both. The park’s wealth of wildlife – from big cats to huge elephant herds – is right on the doorstep.

Day 3: Tarangire

  • Start the day traditionally, with breakfast followed by a walk with a Masai guide. There’s nothing more electrifying than exploring the bush on foot, getting up-close to the flowers, insects and animal tracks. You can also visit a Masai village to find out more about the custodians of this land.
  • After a good lunch at camp, head out on a glorious game drive in custom-designed jeeps, looking for a whole host of species – from zebra, buffalo, eland and kudu to lion, leopard and hyena.
  • Sundowners in the bush before resuming with a night game drive
    • Night drives (permitted within the conservancy) are a chance to see the after-dark shift, from prickly porcupines to elusive leopards.
  • Dinner at camp

Accommodation: Elewana Tarangire Treetops

  • Breakfast at camp
  • Game drive in Serengeti National Park
    • The Serengeti is abundant with game – from the Big Five and cheetah to huge plains herds. You might time your visit for the dramatic peak of the Great Migration, when more than a million animals cross the rivers in the Serengeti’s north. But the animals are always on the move: there is plenty to see, all over the park, year round.

  • Dinner at The Manor

Accommodation: Elewana The Manor at Ngorongoro
Quite possibly the most enviable address on the safari circuit, this handful of Cape Dutch-styled cottages sits within the lush gardens of a working coffee farm, near the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

  • Early breakfast at The Manor
  • Full day Ngorongoro crater tour with a picnic lunch onsite
