As a World Athletics Label Road Race, the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon’s fast, flat course along iconic surf beaches and scenic broadwater, makes it one of Australia’s premier race event. Day 1: Arrive to Brisbane/ Gold Coast (No meal)
Upon arrival in Brisbane Airport or Gold Coast Airport, transfer to the hotel by seat-in-coach. Hotel check-in is from 3pm onwards. You may make your own way to the ASICS Sport and Leisure Expo to collect your bib and race kit. Immerse yourself in Australia’s largest running expo with heaps of running gears, merchandise and activities ready to welcome visitors.
Rest of the day is free at leisure.
Day 2: Aquaduck Gold Coast Tour (Breakfast at hotel)
Experience the Gold Coast on The “World’s First” amphibious Aquaduck Safari, operating since 1996. Departing from the heart of Surfers Paradise, the tours feature informative commentary as they travel past the glitzy waterfront mansions of the rich and famous, offering spectacular views of the Gold Coast waterways and its iconic landmarks.

Day 3: Gold Coast Marathon Choice of Marathon

The race starts at 0615hrs. Runners are recommended to arrive at starting point – Broadwater Parklands on Marine Parade, Southport by 0515hrs by using public transport. Spectators are encouraged to come by to cheer on the runners.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and the rest of the morning at your leisure. Hotel check-out is by 10am. Transfer to Brisbane Airport or Gold Coast Airport for your flight home or opt to extend your stay to discover more of what Gold Coast and Queensland has to offer.

The vessel takes a quick 10 minutes to reach the seaway. Once out in the ocean, your crew are scouring to find the most active whales for guests experience. Evening Rainforest & Glow Worm Experience Tour

Scenic drive up the mountain and panoramic views across the Scenic Rim and Gold Coast. Guided walk by torchlight with an expert local guide through the night time rainforest. Along the walk, look the nocturnal rainforest inhabitants that are unique to the region. There is nothing quite as unique as the sounds and sights of the rainforest in the evening. The walk will take you down to Curtis Falls, a stunning waterfall that flows into a basalt rockpool. Along the rock face, we see the glowing lava which is Glow Worms, unique to the Australian east coast. Learn about the local environment, history and the Tamborine township. Enjoy the serenity of the forest as you breathe the fresh mountain on this unique and stunning experience.

As we leave the Gold Coast, we drive west to the Scenic Rim, through the hills and on to the town of Canungra. Along the journey your expert local guide shares the history, culture and stories of the townships and regions we pass through. Once we reach the top of the Tamborine mountain we are greeted by O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. Here we enjoy a guided rainforest tour along the rainforest floor and high into the trees on the treetop walk. We spot unique wildlife and amazing bird life while on the walk and have the opportunity to feed wild crimson rosellas. Before we head back down the mountain we stop to see the panoramic 360 degree view across the Scenic Rim and Lamington National Park. Enjoy a glass of the local Picnic Bubbles at Canungra Valley Vineyaqrd, see the peacocks and meet the Alpacas. (Optional feeding and walking experience)
