Adventure World Water Park

Built on an old limestone quarry at Bibra Lake, Adventure World Water Park is not to be missed on the list to do with your family! Nestled in beautifully landscaped botanical gardens and lawns, the theme park boasts 25 different rides, and it is only 25 mins from Perth CBD!

Adventure World Water Park promises something for every family member. Children can enjoy spending the day going through Yarli’s Safari in their own little safari car and stop by to say hello to koalas in Koala Kingdom. The “Big Kids” can enjoy a wide variety of adrenaline-pumping rides including the iconic pendulum swing ride, Goliath, the heart thumping roller coaster, Abyss, and the world’s longest funnel water slide, Kraken. Booking in advance is advisable as the theme park gets extremely busy especially during the summer months.

Outback Splash

Waterbabies, this is your calling! Perth’s Outback Splash is all about the tipsy turvy waterslides and seasonal water-based attractions perfect for a day out in the sun. Cool down in Splash Island, the ultimate water playground with interactive sprays, colourful water cannons and instruments.

Slide down the park’s giant inflatable slide, The Plummet, which stands over 10 metres high with a 7-metre drop. However, The Plummet is only open during peak periods, do check for its operations hours upon arrival. Other waterpark attractions include kid zone Octopus Bay, exhilarating lightning fast slide Gold Rush and the fastest body slide The Wedgie.

Just 30 minutes outside of Perth CBD,  this water theme park also offers other year-round family fun such as mini golf, mazes, sensory play activities, children’s playground, Australian animal experiences and food outlets.

Latitude Perth

Covering 3000sqm of trampoline and climbing entertainment, children can go wild at Latitude Perth indoors without worries. Bounce, climb or fly at Latitude’s giant aerial playground that has hundreds of trampolines, 12 unique climbing walls and even an 8-metre high bungee tower

Another highlight besides the fun trampolines and challenging climbing walls, you can also attempt the mammoth ninja-warrior course, The Grid, which features a zip line, spider wall, bouldering, tight-rope and a warped wall.

Younger children can experience their first taste of high-flying freedom in the Kids Zone. Equipped to teach children new skills and build their confidence, parents can also take a breather in the seating area designated specially for them while their children play to their hearts’ content.

King Carnival

King Carnival is the epitome of old school fun. Mini golfs, arcade games, bumper cars and a ride on the ferris wheel are all sure to make you reminisce about your younger days while enjoying it with your family.

Situated on the scenic Mandurah foreshore, King Carnival not only offers a wide variety of fun games and rides, it is host to Western Australia’s biggest Halloween event, Screamfest in October and other live entertainment shows throughout the year.

A must do is to take a ride on the 60-year-old ferris wheel and take in the picturesque views of the estuary of Mandurah. It’s a great spot to also celebrate birthday parties if you are ever looking to celebrate a loved one.

Yallingup Maze

If you are visiting the Margaret River Region, spend a few hours in Yallingup Maze, the only timber maze in the wine valley. A place for all ages, it features outdoor mazes, nature play areas, a bouncy castle and also an indoor puzzle cafe. Challenge yourself through the maze with your kids or if you prefer to be indoors with some air-con to cool down, the indoor puzzle cafe has free-to-play puzzle games and a spacious area to wind down.

Kalgoorlie Boulder

While it’s not a theme park, a day to visit the biggest gold mining area makes an adventure of its own. Make a trip into the Golden Outback by taking a train ride directly from Perth. The Prospector is well known as a rural passenger train service that connects East of Perth to Kalgoorlie. The modern Prospector, known locally as the Kalgoorlie train, departs twice on Monday and Friday and is fitted with all modern technology to make your 7-hour train journey comfortable.

Once you arrive in Kalgoorlie, get ready to explore Australia’s largest outback town filled with fascinating stories and relics of the region’s gold rush era. Be sure to explore and take insta-worthy shots at the Super Pit mine. You can also join an educational guided tour to learn about one of the world’s largest open-cut mines as you peer down into its 600-metre depths. You could also explore Gwalia State Hotel, the grand heritage building built in 1903 and first of its kind in this mining town.

In the Museum of Goldfields, you can discover how precious metals were prospected and view the museum’s collection of gold bars and nuggets. Take a tour around Gwalia Museum and learn about the mining history of the town. Also, be wow-ed at the whimsical outdoor art gallery with the spectacular backdrop of Lake Ballard.

Dinosaur Adventure Tour

Plan a half day tour to discover dinosaur footprints and wrecks of WW2 Flying Boats while you are in Broome. A great day out for the family, trek your way to find 120 million-year-old dinosaur footprints along Broome’s sandstone coast line, Dampier Peninsula.

With over 20 different types of tracks, you will come across theropods prints, three toed carnivorous dinosaurs that walked on two legs and other species of dinosaurs. Marvel at spectacular views of Roebuck Bay and if the tides are low enough, bring your kids to spot flying boat wrecks from WW2.

Scitech

If you prefer spending more time away from the sun, get your thinking hat on and head on to Scitech. An immersive experience designed to educate and excite children under the age of 12, inquisitive young minds would enjoy this science playground.

The science centre frequently holds workshops, STEM exhibitions and immersive shows for children to join. Be star stuck at the Planetarium, a 180-degree mega dome standing at 18-metres high with surround sound and digital projection, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, showcasing 45 minutes immersive show of the milky way.
