The region is characterised by dramatic scenery, including towering mountains, stark deserts, serene lakes, and ancient monasteries.

Travellers to Ladakh can explore a unique blend of Tibetan Buddhist culture and Indian traditions, visible in the local architecture, festivals, and daily life.

Arrive in India’s bustling capital city of Delhi and let the experience begin! A traditional Indian welcome marks the start of your magnificent journey before being escorted to your hotel for check-in.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Delhi airport for your flight to Ladakh (Leh). Feel the cool breeze as you arrive at Kushok Bakula Airport Leh, sitting at 3,500m above sea level. Our representative shall receive you at the airport followed by transfer to the hotel. Full day at rest at your hotel room to acclimatise to the altitude of Ladakh which is a must. In the evening, visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Local Market.

After breakfast, embark on an excursion to visit Alchi Monastery 68 Km from Leh. See the 1,000 years old miniature paintings of Alchi monastery which is among the Top 7 national heritage monuments in India. Enroute, we will visit the Spituk Monastery (Kali Mata Temple), Sangam of Indus and Zanskar rivers which are the two major rivers in Ladakh, Magnetic Hill and Basgo Castle.

After breakfast, we will visit the oldest monastery in Ladakh, Lamayuru Monastery, 60km away and the Lunar-like landscapes near Lamayurur village. After lunch, head back to Leh.

After breakfast, head out on a morning drive to Nubra Valley 125km, crossing Khardungla Pass at 18,360 ft, the world highest motorable pass. Arrive in Khalsar Sand Dunes and enjoy various Adventure Activities like ATV ride, World’s highest and longest Zipline ride, Cycle Zipline and more. Later enroute, visit 14th century Diskit Monastery, a monastery belonging to the Gelugpa order or the Yellow Hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, the disciple of Tsong Khapa, in the 14th century. The impressive 106-foot statue of Maitreya Buddha is another tourist attraction at Diskit. After visiting the monastery, we will proceed to Hundar Villages and perhaps a Camel Safari on the double humped camels which are found only in Nubra as far as India concerned.

After breakfast, head out to Pangong lake via Shyok Valley 180 Km approx. After crossing Khalsar village, move towards Akgyam Village. From the upper road going towards Khardung la pass, drive along the Shyok River till Village Shayok. Stop at Shayok village for Stemming Tea/Coffee at a roadside restaurant. Later, drive via Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh and perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia which changes its colour 4 – 5 times a day.

After breakfast, we will drive to Leh, 135 km from Pangong via crossing Changla Pass 1 at 7,500ft and passing by Sakti Village. We will be back in Leh by evening after which you will have free and easy at your own leisure.

Enjoy a full day tour of some of the most important and beautiful monasteries and palaces on the Indus Valley with a scenic drive along the River Indus. Visit the former summer Palace of the kings of Ladakh i.e. Shey Palace, a mini Potala-like Monastery in Ladakh i.e. Thiksey Monastery which also enshrines the most beautiful statue of Maitrey Buddha and later the largest and the richest monastery in Ladakh i.e. Hemis Monastery. We will head back to Leh by evening and free at leisure.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport to board a flight for Delhi. You will be guided for the sightseeing tour of Delhi, where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the gem in the crown of the British Empire. A drive through of Old Delhi includes, Red Fort, Jamia Masjid, Raj Ghat – a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Ashoka Pillar. Drive towards Rajpath, the capital’s broadest avenue, for a view of the Parliament House, the President’s House, and India Gate (War Memorial Arch). Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant. If time permits, pursue independent activities and last minute shopping opportunities. Later you will be transferred to the international airport for your flight back home.
